Membership & Events Coordinator – ICON Asia Pacific

Employment: 3 days per week

Dalton Handley is working with ICON Asia Pacific, the leading professional development association for business development, marketing, and communications professionals working in the Asia-Pacific region.

ICON is a member-led association powered by a passionate community of volunteers and a small administrative team. We offer webinars, conferences, networking, and specialist programs across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

We are seeking a proactive Membership & Events Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our members, managing events, and keeping our operations running smoothly.

You’ll be the first point of contact for member enquiries, support our events program, helping to drive membership engagement, and assisting with communications and website updates. This is a remote, part-time role – ideal for someone who is organised, tech-savvy and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the membership database, ensuring accuracy and providing timely responses to enquiries.
  • Support membership renewals and develop communications to show the value of ICON membership.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including webinars, seminars, networking events and our annual conference.
  • Work closely with volunteers and sponsors to ensure event and sponsorship deliverables are met.
  • Update ICON’s website and social media channels to promote events and member activities.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team on newsletters, job alerts and event promotions.
  • Provide administrative support including responding to Board and committee queries and assisting with reporting.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in membership services, events coordination, or association administration.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • High-level digital literacy including Microsoft Office, social media platforms and website management.
  • Experience with membership management systems like Wild Apricot or iMIS (preferred but not essential).
  • A positive, proactive mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Why join ICON?

You’ll be part of a supportive, energised team, making a real difference to the professional lives of business development, marketing and communications professionals across the Asia-Pacific. We value initiative, collaboration and delivering an excellent member experience.

If you love working behind the scenes to help organisations shine, we’d love to hear from you.
