Dalton Handley is delighted to partner with one of the best law firms in the Asia Pacific region – a highly respected, top-tier firm known for its stable, collaborative and high-performing team – to recruit a Senior Business Development Advisor.

This role will support senior stakeholders and partners across several of the firm’s most active and strategically important practice areas. Working in a true advisory capacity, you’ll be deeply embedded in the business – helping shape and execute BD strategies that drive revenue, deepen client relationships, and elevate market profile.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of BD plans across key practice and sector groups
  • Manage strategic pursuit opportunities and major tender responses, with a focus on winning and retaining premium work
  • Support high-value client relationships and contribute to firm-wide client development initiatives
  • Provide insights and recommendations to partners and legal teams on market opportunities and positioning
  • Collaborate closely with national and cross-functional BD, client, comms and innovation teams
  • Contribute to thought leadership, strategic events and targeted marketing campaigns

About you:

  • 4–7+ years’ experience in BD, marketing or client-focused roles within a law firm or broader professional services environment
  • Demonstrated success advising partners, managing pursuit activities, and delivering strategic BD initiatives
  • Confident and commercially minded, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking and high-performance culture
  • Strong communication, project management and market research skills
