In light of two upcoming senior opportunities with prestigious global B2B services businesses, we are keen to engage with accomplished, senior bid and pursuit management talent with proven experience working in sophisticated professional services environments to drive aggressive growth through the management of high value strategic pursuits.

You will be a talented senior business developer who shares our clients’ passion for empowering change in how they win opportunities. You will enjoy working with a collaborative and flexible team to deliver innovative business solutions and through best practice pursuit delivery, and be looking for an opportunity to step up or across into a senior position.

These roles are perfect for candidates looking to work in sophisticated, fast paced and progressive environments, and for those who can impart their knowledge to others as a leadership figure in the team. You will understand the importance of writing compelling pitches that highlight client needs and showcase technical capabilities and services. You will know how to use genuine business development skills in advancing client relationships and objectively qualifying opportunities to ensure they are delivering the best outcomes for the business.

Day to day, you will work with key stakeholders to lead and deliver client tender responses, individual opportunity bids, client specific collateral and pricing proposals. Together with functional leaders, you will support the development of client acquisition skills, help shape and support client initiatives and ensure key client plans are effectively implemented.

Most of all you will be someone who can quickly earn the respect of your stakeholders, is a great listener and is open-minded and curious about implementing new ideas that will help break the traditional business development mould.

Key responsibilities include:

  • assisting client teams achieve revenue targets through well written and constructed pursuit plans and delivery of high quality supporting sales documentation.
  • working with sales teams to develop and implement client engagement strategies that build on existing relationships.
  • developing new ideas for how to best present the business capabilities and grow market presence.
  • developing client and opportunity specific pricing models and analysis alongside finance teams.
  • providing advice and coaching to senior stakeholders around understanding clients’ requirements, advancing opportunities through effective client meetings and pitch presentations.
  • creating more effective sales conversations.
  • developing BDM resources including automating our content library to improve efficiency and productivity of the department.

To be considered you need to:

  • be passionate about writing and storytelling and be able to visualise alternate ways of presenting information to deliver creative client pitches.
  • be curious and have excellent problem solving, project management and decision-making skills.
  • be able to hold your own with a large group of successful professionals, communicate confidently and build sustainable relationships and networks both internally and externally.
  • have core skills to quickly be able to write succinct copy for tenders, capability statements and other business collateral.
  • have the energy and enthusiasm to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
  • preferably have worked with CRM solutions and web-based tools for managing client plans and bids
  • hold relevant tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 8 years business development or marketing experience gained in a consulting or professional services environment.
