About the Role
A leading international professional services firm is seeking two talented Pitch and Pursuits Manager to join their dynamic Business Development team. These are exciting opportunities to play a pivotal role in managing and delivering high-profile bids and pitches across the Australian business, while also contributing to the strategic direction of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage panel pitch responses, overseeing the entire process and making key decisions to ensure timely delivery and alignment with stakeholders.
- Independently manage significant pitches for the Australian region, including client research, scoping opportunities, and developing tailored win strategies with strong sales messaging.
- Contribute to the development of the firm’s pursuits strategy and take ownership of specific revenue opportunities following panel appointments.
- Implement best practices in pitching, compliance measures, and administrative tasks (e.g. conflict resolution and maintaining pitch records).
- Collaborate with senior business development managers and Heads of Product to manage expectations, workflow, and effectively differentiate the firm from competitors.
- Proactively source and develop practice group-specific content for RFPs, relevant to client/sector needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
- 5+ years of experience in a pitching or business development advisory role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment (open to varying levels of experience).
- Proven ability to build strategic relationships and successfully manage bids, pursuits, and panel responses.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor proposals to meet the specific needs of clients, ensuring alignment with all relevant stakeholders (partners and business services).
- Experience identifying opportunities for cross-selling services and creating bespoke value-added offerings.
- Proven track record in delivering training programs for lawyers to foster a “pursuits” culture.
- In-depth knowledge of sophisticated systems and best practices in pursuit management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A commercially astute mindset with a proven ability to innovate and drive results.
