A leading international law firm is looking for a Client Relationship Consultant to join its Clients & Sectors team in Australia. Full-time or part-time, based in Sydney or Melbourne, with genuine flexibility.

At a glance

  • Support the management of the firm’s most significant client relationships, working hand-in-hand with Client Relationship Managers and Partners.
  • Drive a structured, accountable approach to client management — account plans, trackers, objectives and progress reporting across multi-dimensional (product/region) relationships.
  • Contribute to bids, pitches and client-facing materials, coordinating workstreams and deadlines end to end.
  • 3+ years in professional services in a client-facing or business development support role, with strong organisational skills and commercial acumen.

The Business Development team works alongside partners and lawyers across the firm’s sectors, services and offices to develop client relationships, deliver exceptional service and explore new ways to help clients meet their business needs. The brand, marketing and digital team positions the firm as a thought leader in its target markets through engaging collateral, events and campaigns.

What you’ll do

  • Support the Client Relationship Manager in implementing the growth strategy for a portfolio of clients, assisting with internal coordination and maintaining account plans, trackers and progress updates.
  • Help deliver a structured approach to client management by monitoring objectives, maintaining accurate records of activity and supporting accountability across multi-dimensional (product/region) client relationships.
  • Coordinate and support the day-to-day operations of the client team, working alongside partners and lawyers to facilitate timely communication, manage follow-up on agreed actions and help execute the growth strategy.
  • Support the development of high-quality bids and client-facing materials.
  • Work closely with internal teams to compile information and deliver on client reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications and Events teams to deliver client-facing initiatives.

This is a permanent, full-time or part-time role based in either the Melbourne or Sydney office, with flexible working supported.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years’ experience within a professional services environment in a client-facing or business development support capacity, with exposure to client management and relationship building.
  • Solid interpersonal skills, with a demonstrable ability to build effective working relationships with business services colleagues.
  • Confidence engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, with a developing ability to navigate a partnership environment.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating tenders, bids or pitches, including project management of associated workstreams and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen, including the confidence to contribute to the identification of opportunities, pitching and pricing considerations.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • A degree in marketing, commerce, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
