One of the world’s leading law firms is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support its Corporate practice across Singapore and South East Asia.
This is a strategic, high-profile opportunity for a commercially minded BD professional who enjoys working closely with partners, senior stakeholders and regional leadership. The role will suit someone who can combine hands-on delivery with broader strategic thinking, while leading a team and driving high-quality business development outcomes across a sophisticated corporate practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Asia Corporate & Private Capital and the wider regional and global BD team to support business planning, client development, pitching, profile raising and market growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a high-performing BD team supporting Corporate practices across Singapore and South East Asia.
- Partner with Corporate practice leaders and senior stakeholders to develop and implement business plans, client strategies and targeted market initiatives.
- Lead major pitches, proposals and tender submissions, including pitch strategy, credentials, pricing input, stakeholder coordination and improvement of pitch materials.
- Drive profile, reputation and client-growth initiatives, including legal directory submissions, awards, thought leadership, events, client listening, CRM activity and client research.
About you
You will have at least five years’ relevant business development experience, ideally gained within a law firm, professional services firm or complex partnership environment. You will be confident working with partners and senior stakeholders, able to build credibility quickly, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced regional role.
You will bring strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, sound commercial judgement and a highly responsive, service-focused approach. Experience supporting Corporate, M&A, Private Capital or transactional practices would be highly regarded.
