Why this role
This is an exciting, newly created position sitting at the centre of a leading firm’s international strategy. You’ll own and scale relationships with global law firms, deepen referral reciprocity, and orchestrate the firm’s presence across international networks and conferences. You’ll enjoy high visibility with the CMO, CEO and partners, allowing for the opportunity to make a impact on cross-border pipeline.

Reporting line
Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. Works closely with the CEO, senior partners and the Marketing & BD leadership team.

What you’ll do

  • Build, manage and grow strategic relationships with international law firms; drive two-way referrals and collaboration.
  • Coordinate firm-wide engagement with relationship firms, global networks and major international conferences; develop playbooks and post-event ROI.
  • Partner with fee-earners on international travel programs: targets, agendas, collateral, follow-through and measurable outcomes.
  • Design and deliver initiatives to deepen collaboration across jurisdictions (joint pitches, thought leadership, secondees, training exchanges).
  • Maintain a visible personal network with key cohorts at priority firms.
  • Track and report on activity, pipeline influence and relationship health; deliver insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Champion best-practice relationship management across the firm (CRM discipline, data hygiene, contact strategies).
  • Identify new markets, alliances and opportunities that align with firm strategy.

What you bring

  • 8+ years’ BD/marketing experience in professional services (legal strongly preferred) with proven success in international relationship management.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen; comfortable setting direction and delivering outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior partners/C-suite.
  • First-class written and verbal communication; able to craft compelling, partner-ready materials.
  • Project and change management capability; organised, deadline-driven, calm under pressure.
  • Data-literate: experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Nexl, InterAction, Salesforce) and turning activity data into decisions.
  • Knowledge of the legal market and international firm networks highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications or related discipline.
