One of Dalton Handley’s longest standing clients, a true legal powerhouse globally, is looking for an intelligent, accomplished and ambitious Business Development Consultant to join their highly sophisticated, industry renowned team. This role will support the Real Estate and Finance teams across Australia. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of profitable revenue, strengthen brand presence, and enhance market positioning.

Candidates at very senior Coordinator, Adviser or Senior Exec level, as well as Managers in mid-tier firms seeking a stronger long term career trajectory are encouraged to apply to have an exploratory conversation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Real Estate and Finance BD teams to craft compelling pitches, bids, and client materials by leading or contributing content
  • Leading initiatives to maintain and improve BD infrastructure such as credentials, pitch materials, and databases to ensure easy access across the practice
  • Coordinating responses to internal and global business development requests to support strategic submissions and projects
  • Managing directory and award submissions, as well as assisting with reporting, research, and strategic analysis
  • Working closely with Marketing, Communications, and Events teams on campaigns, thought leadership, and firm-wide initiatives that promote a collaborative and respectful workplace culture

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in business development, particularly in pitching and producing high-quality written content
  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, commerce, business, or related field
  • Familiarity with Real Estate and Finance sectors is highly desirable, along with a quick ability to grasp the broader business landscape in these areas
  • Strong project management skills, including experience overseeing pitches and bids
  • Excellent organizational, planning, delegation, and administrative capabilities
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines effectively
  • A proactive, enthusiastic mindset with a strong work ethic and ownership of tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a professional, commercially-aware approach
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a national team environment
  • High personal integrity and strong collegial values
