This role will offer an ambitious candidate in the early stages of their career (either at Manager or Senior Adviser level) the opportunity to embark on an ongoing learning curve and to follow in the footsteps of team members who have become senior global people leaders.
This role is pivotal in driving engagement, enhancing the firm’s presence, and implementing strategies to win new business. You will lead the development and execution of business development tools, including client listening and feedback programs, account planning, partner coaching, strategic pursuits, and marketing campaigns.
About the Role:
- Working closely with partners and teams for a key practice group to develop and execute their strategic business development and client, as well as monitoring and assessing plans on a regular basis;
- Assisting with client relationship strategies, including participating in client listening initiatives, ensuring the delivery of client commitments such as value adds;
- Collaborating with the broader Business Development and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for collaboration between teams to promote the firm’s expertise and approach to target clients, industries and regions;
- Project managing strategic pursuits and working with the dedicated bid team in a strategic advisory capacity to deliver work winning tender responses;
- Proactively building and maintaining effective working relationships with partners, managers, staff, clients, external service providers, and industry associations relevant to your designated teams;
- Coaching individual lawyers and teams to develop their business development skills and to prepare and execute personal business development plans that align with the firm’s strategic priorities and team goals.
Requirements:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience level within a law firm.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a client-focused approach to driving ROI and revenue growth.
- Demonstrated qualities of gravitas, collaboration, patience, and persistence.
