We are recruiting a dynamic, enthusiastic and driven Internal Communications Consultant for one of Australia’s leading consulting firms.
This is a fantastic role for somebody who is passionate about storytelling and employee experience and enjoys variety and thinking both tactically and strategically. This is a critical and highly valued role, where you’ll be leading the internal communication programs and be integral to supporting the firm’s culture and brand and reputation, as well as supporting a variety of senior stakeholders and teams across the business.
Role responsibilities
- Driving and executing a range of internal communications activities that form part of the integrated brand and marketing initiatives.
- Managing key internal communication channels including the intranet and firmwide virtual coffee catch-ups.
- Supporting aspirations to have a market-leading workplace culture that is inclusive, diverse, respectful and offers people fulfilling and meaningful career experiences.
- Managing a portfolio of internal communication activities – from strategy and advice through to hands on support – supporting firm leaders, major change initiatives and BAU activity.
- Helping to drive the internal content agenda – building key messages, sourcing stories and identifying opportunities and risks.
- Listening for employee sentiment and trends internally and externally to identify and manage risk, and support responsive, relevant and tailored internal communication.
- Supporting and helping to lead a growing suite of brand communications and campaign activities that bring the culture, organisational purpose and people to life.
Required skills and qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or equivalent.
- Content planning and communications strategy development.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a laser-like attention to detail.
- Experience managing intranets (preferably using Sharepoint), enterprise social networks and firmwide events.
- Experience coaching and supporting senior leaders and stakeholders.
- The ability to turn abstract concepts into easily digestible content.
- A flare for injecting empathy, understanding and emotional intelligence in all writing, with a keen understanding of audience personas.
- Digital savvy, with the ability to shape content for digital journeys.
- An ability to form insights from data.
- You are self-motivated, able to work at pace and hungry to provide excellent service.
- You have great people skills and an ability to work well in a team environment.
