We are delighted to partner with a prestigious national law firm in their search for a talented and enthusiastic Marketing and Events Adviser to join their Sydney office. We are keen to engage with ambitious Marketing and Events Coordinators or Advisers who will play a crucial role in bolstering the firm’s market presence and engaging its clients through well planned and executed events. The role demands close collaboration with the firm’s lawyers and the Business Development & Marketing team, ensuring events align with strategic goals and deliver a solid return on investment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with lawyers and the BD&M team to ensure client events (seminars, webinars, boardroom lunches, client dinners, cocktail functions, sporting events, and other client targeted activities) support strategic objectives and provide measurable return on investment.
  • Working alongside the Brisbane Events team to organise and execute end-to-end client legal education and social events nationally, both physical and virtual, including:
    • researching and developing event concepts, venues, speakers and catering options, and tracking expenditure against budget
    • preparing and distributing event communications campaigns through the e-marketing platform and managing associated distribution lists through the CRM
    • understanding and consistently applying client-specific event protocols, where appropriate
    • monitoring event RSVPs, preparing attendance lists and run sheets
    • liaising with venues and suppliers to ensure bookings, catering, AV requirements, signage etc. are delivered to the highest quality for all events
    • producing required collateral (e.g. name badges, signage, menus, presentation materials etc)
    • on site and/or virtual management and support
    • post event feedback, reporting and administrative duties such as payment requisitions and expenditure reconciliations.
  • Managing firm sponsorships and ensuring sponsorship benefits and entitlements are activated.
  • Assist and support the BD&M team across a range of general business development and marketing tasks and activities.

Role requirements:

  • A confident events professional with 3+ years of experience in managing corporate events.
  • Someone with a relevant degree and an understanding of professional services, ideally the legal sector.
  • CRM skills and experienced with e-marketing, webinar platforms, and website CMS.
  • A multitasker with impeccable attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach.
  • The role does require flexibility in hours, with the possibility of interstate travel to meet the firm’s dynamic needs.
