Due to exciting internal promotions, a fantastic 12-month contract role has arisen for an experienced BD Coordinator looking to step up to an Executive for the first time.
You will be part of our clients’ Business Development team, supporting their Projects, Real Estate & Development Practice and working with key stakeholders in the Sydney office. You will primarily be supporting three Business Development team members on implementing projects strategy, with a focus on energy transition, infrastructure, real estate and environment & planning.
Role responsibilities
- Lead and manage tenders and coach secretaries and lawyers in contribution to the tender process
- Work alongside a BD Lead to develop and implement business development initiatives
- Work alongside a BD Lead to coach teams to win new clients and major projects
- Client relationship management with a BD Lead
- Understand client experience and aligning business development activities to deliver exceptional client experience
- Work closely with communications, digital and events teams to design and deliver marketing and communication strategies in a B2B environment
- Encourage and facilitate BD skill development in lawyers at all levels
This is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term opportunity in our Sydney office. The role would suit someone with some experience in a BD/marketing/tenders role who is looking to build their understanding of this exciting part of the market and work more closely with partners.
Required skills and qualifications
- Previous experience in a professional services BD environment (2+ years’ experience)
- Tertiary qualification in business or related relevant field
- Positive, solutions-focused, good humoured
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities at any single time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed research and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder influence skills
- Commercially astute, and able to quickly understand strategy and translate it through to execution
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in teams
- Action oriented
- Strong project management skills
- Proactive and client focused
- A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
